Last night I remember the farm list needed to get done today. They’re important for me to accomplish since there are four more days to go before Christmas, the birthday of Jesus Christ our Redeemer and God’s only begotten Son. They are small tasks in the farmstead that I think in my present standing will brought smile to my ever-caring wife, at least. Smile - my routine practice of being the first to shine light by greeting geannhomegarden with a sparkling smile.

While part of my expectation for the Year 2017 is to have a vibrant home-garden thru leisurely hard work I still have a more valuable notion pondering in my mind. When I bid goodbye from my family what would I want to be?

“Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.” – Albert Einstein

Reading the Bible during my idle times at geannhomegarden has helped me thru the Holy Spirit with my “to be” list before I say “See you soon”. I have to improve further my character traits.

Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.”

Which of those character traits would I need to develop more? We know that character can’t be developed overnight but it can be enhanced through our experience of trial and sufferings. Clear vision, right choices, courage & perseverance will inspire our ambition/dreams for success.

It may be hard to realize to develop character but we must learn that the setbacks which we endure will help us to move forward. The surrounding God’s nature at geannhomegarden will help my character to be enhanced in ease and quiet.

I wish “to be” living for God every day, and I want to leave a lasting Christmas gift to my wife & family when I’m gone.
